Support for Trstenik Municipality floods from young Ambassadors from Lifeline Chicago

Thirty-seven young members of Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organization, whose patron is Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine visited today Grabovac primary school “Miodrag Cajetinac – Cajka” and Ljubostinja Monastery in the Municipality of Trstenik. These two important institutions were rebuilt thanks to these people from Lifeline Chicago and friends from our Diaspora who love their country.

Primary school “Miodrag Cajetinac – Cajka” in Grabovac was badly damaged during floods in May last year, and now it has been renovated due to a donation from Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organization. The roof, windows and doors were replaced and chairs for students were also donated, so that children could continue their education in the best possible conditions. The Monastery Ljubostinja received thanks to this donation wheelchairs, a new irrigation system, a greenhouse and the restoration of the  garden.

The representatives of Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organization met with Mr Djulica Percevic, principal of “Miodrag Cajetinac – Cajka” school and discussed future projects, and expressed their satisfaction that although they live far away from the homeland, they can still help our country.
