Celebration of the Day and 25 Anniversary of the Republika of Srpska.
Banja Luka, January 9, 2017 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine visited Banja Luka today, where they met with the President of the Republika of Srpska, HE Mr. Milorad Dodik, representatives of the Government of the Republika of Srpska and the highest state officials at the celebration of the Day of the Republic of Srpska and the 25th Anniversary of the Republika of Srpska.
Their Royal Highnesses attended the Holy Liturgy officiated by His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej and the Hierarchs and clergy of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the Cathedral temple of Christ the Savior in Banja Luka.
Crown Princess Katherine visited the Home for children without parental care “Rada Vranjesevic” in Banja Luka, where she delivered Christmas gifts to the children, as well as other humanitarian aid, toys, computers, clothes, shoes, bedding and kitchen equipment worth about $20,000. This aid was donated by St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, Milwaukee through the Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organization, whose patron is Crown Princess Katherine. In addition to the Home for children, the Crown Princess visited the Clinical Center of Banja Luka and the safe house “United Women” where she delivered aid and wished them a happy Christmas.
“My husband’s and my hearts are always full when we are in the Republika of Srpska. I am happy that my Foundation and I, this year too, can help these wonderful people, and make this holiday a little bit more beautiful for the children. I wish everyone a better year in 2017, a lot of love and prosperity. I thank the Lifeline Chicago for the help that enabled us to make this valuable donation”, said Crown Princess Katherine.
Crown Princess Katherine was thanked for her help by Mr. Mirko Stanetic, the director of the Clinical Center Banja Luka, who pointed out that the Crown Princess has been helping the local doctors and patients, and that she is always more than welcome in Banja Luka.
