Their Royal Highnesses are organizing for the 6th time the traditional search for multi-coloured Easter eggs that will be hidden somewhere in the Park of The White Palace on Dedinje hill. On Great Thursday, on 5th April, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Princess Katherine will host 1000 orphans, children with special needs and Roma Children in order to make an unforgettable event for them.

Searching for Easter eggs is our small fairy tale – says Princess Katherine. My husband and I very much look forward to this day just like the children and it is always very rewarding to see their happy faces

All children will receive not only the multi-coloured eggs, but also delicious food and plenty of gifts in The White Palace.

We also give the children gifts which were given to my Foundation in Greece for this event as well as new clothes, shoes and food which are put in the buses that bring the children from many towns in Serbia, says the Princess. – However, the most moving is when they bring beautiful gifts to us, all kind of handicrafts, baskets with colored Easter eggs that they have painted, drawings, flowers… and they always put special notes in them full of genial words and love

Princess Katherine most preferably remembers the moment when a brother and a sister, who were separated for a long period of time, discovered each other in The White Palace.

They had lost each other during the conflict and were placed in two separate intuitions in different towns. They discovered each other in our home. It was the most emotional moment in my life. Although it moved me, I was very excited that this event was able to reunite them

The idea to organize the Easter egg hunt came very spontaneously to The Princess. Since she knew how much her children always looked forward to Easter, she wanted to bring that kind of happiness to all children from Serbia.
- This is a special time of the year when all children should be happy. I remember how much I looked forward to Easter when I was young. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to bring joy to so many children for this great holiday. It means so much to me. I would like it to be a memorable day the children will always treasure.
