CROWN PRINCESS KATARINA PROVIDES INCUBATOR
FOR BELGRADE ZOO
Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katarina
today delivered to Belgrade Zoo an incubator she obtained through
her own efforts.
The
incubator was obtained in Switzerland and was designed to keep newly
born humans alive. Belgrade Zoo was in need for such an instrument
for many years. Mr. Bojović,
General Manager, talked with Princess Katarina about this a few weeks
ago when she visited the Zoo with her family. This prompted Her Royal
Highness to get in touch with her friends around the world, who soon
helped her obtain and deliver the incubator. This instrument will
enable the Zoo to keep and rear even rare animal species that require
special care similar to that required by newly born humans.
Mr.
Vuk Bojović, Belgrade Zoo’s General Manager, expressed his gratitude
to Princess Katarina for this generous gesture. He said he was pleasantly
surprised how quickly the Princess had provided something they needed
for years and pointed out that such an instrument would be welcomed
by many hospitals.
