HRH CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE JOINS THE INTERNATIONAL EFFORT FOR THE PROTECTION CHILDREN RIGHTS

Belgrade 8 December 2006 - HRH Crown Princess Katherine visited France where she attended a lunch in honour of Mrs. Marianna Vardinoyiannis, Ambassador of Good Will of UNESCO and the annual humanitarian event of the “Fondation pour l’ Enfance”.

The lunch in honour of Mrs. Marianna Vardinoyiannis was organized by Madame Anne Aymone Giscard d’ Estaing (wife of the former President of France Monsieur Valéry Giscard d'Estaing) President of the “Foundation for the Children Age” at the “Salon Pampadour” in the “Le Meurice” Hotel, in Paris.

After various meetings with people who gathered on the occasion14th consecutive year the “International Night for the Child”, HRH Crown Princess Katherine joined the annual humanitarian event that was organized by Mrs. Anne Aymone Giscard d’ Estaing the President of the Fondation pour l’ Enfance at The Palace of the Versailles.

The event was organized in the presence of Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, with the aim of protecting children from any form of violence and ill treatment.

Among the attendees from Paris and Europe were: the former President of France Mr. Valery Giscard d’ Estaing, HIM Shabanou Farah Pahlavi, Princess Astrid of Belgium with her husband Prince Lorenz, HRH Princess Isabelle of Lichtenstein, Count and Countess Jean-Francois de Clermont-Tonnerre, President of Versailles Mrs Christine Albanel, the famous fashion designer Mr. Jean-Louis Sherrer, Mr Nicos Vardinoyiannis, Mrs Alexia Antsakli, President of Chaumet Mr Thierry Fritsch with his wife, Lord Michel Cavendish, the businessman John Whittaker with his wife, the famous French journalist Stephane Bern, Member of the European Parliament Mrs Rodi Kratsa, Mrs Elena Limberi, Mrs. Elena Samara-Konstadakatou and many others.
