ANNUAL CHRISTMAS HUMANITARIAN HANDICRAFT BAZAAR ORGANIZED BY HRH PRINCESS KATHERINE FOUNDATION
Belgrade, 15 December 2006 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine opened charity Handicraft Bazaar in “Progres” Gallery under the patronage of HRH Princess Katherine Foundation.
“This is the 19th time that a humanitarian Bazaar is being organized to try and help women refugees from Bosnia and Croatia and internally displaced persons from Kosovo who have for years been trying to sustain themselves and their families by producing these beautiful handcrafts,” said Princess Katherine at the official opening ceremony.
On behalf of the Government of Republic of Serbia, Mrs. Nataša Vasić, Advisor in Commissariat for Refugees of Republic of Serbia welcomed the participants expressing her gratitude to the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine for organizing this event and to all those who made the effort to make it a success.
Afterwards, Mrs. Zlata Ćirić recited two poems by Mika Antić, famous Serbian poet.
At the end of the official ceremony, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine cut the ribbon and pronounced the Bazaar officially open.
Bazaar will be held through 20 December, open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. |
