Earlier today at the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade H.R.H. Crown Princess Katarina opened the Bazaar organized by the Japanese humanitarian organization “Yen” where women refugees and displaced persons from Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo exhibited their handcrafts.

The Bazaar is open for a day and the income will to be used for the purchase of supplies for refugees. Mrs. Misako Mine the wife of the Japanese Ambassador in Belgrade, numerous representatives of Diplomatic Corps, humanitarian organizations from our country and abroad, and the public attended the opening of the bazaar.

At the bazaar opening Crown Princess Katarina mentioned that: “We are all citizens of the country and members of the society that have gone through a great ordeal and there is still suffering. Poverty is enlarged by the tragedy of the refugees that left their homes behind, but they did save the skills of their hands and the fullness of their souls and today we can see the best proof of that.”

On this occasion, HRH Crown Princess Katarina donated the humanitarian organization “Yen” several sewing machines and a quantity of fabrics that will be used by refugees.

Mrs. Branka Mraović expressed gratitude to H.R.H. Crown Princess Katarina in the name of the “Yen” organization.
