T.R.H. CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR II AND PRINCESS KATARINA VISIT SREMSKA MITROVICA, RUMA AND NOVI SAD

Their Royal Highnesses informing themselves about the condition of the medical equipment in the "Sremska Mitrovica" Medical Center.

Candies, sweet gift to the little kids of "Poletarac" Kinder Garden.

Humanitarian aid, consisting of clothes, shoes, blankets, food and medical helping devices was delivered to the "Lezimir" refugee camp.

HRH Crown Princess Katarina brought a lot of toys for the youngest patients of the "Sremska Mitrovica" Medical Center.

T.R.H. Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Princess Katarina visited today Sremska Mitrovica and Ruma where Princess Katarina delivered humanitarian help and Novi Sad where Their Royal Highnesses opened the exhibition of child works under the subject “Two thousand years of Christianity”.

In Medical Center “Sremska Mitrovica” Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed by municipality authorities and representatives of Medical Center. After Princess Katarina delivered humanitarian aid in expendable medical material, shoes and toys, Crown Prince Aleksandar II addressed those present emphasizing that the humanitarian help they brought was small buy given from the heart.

“However, life through humanitarian help must not be our goal, but we must turn to work as unique value that makes our future better. Our country needs foreign partners and investors that will help our former effort turn into actual improvement”, emphasized Crown Prince Aleksandar II.

Their Royal Highnesses visited afterwards Museum of Srem and refugee camp “Ležimir” where ORGANIZATION of Princess Katarina delivered help in clothes, shoes, blankets, food and medical equipment.

During the visit of Ruma, after warm welcome of local authorities and numerous citizens, Their Royal Highnesses visited orthodox church known as “Greek church”, kindergarten “Poletarac” and Primary Health Center. Moved by warm welcome in kindergarten “Poletarac”, Princess Katarina addressed their teachers by saying:

 “Institution like this are places where we feel like home, among children. You are responsible that these children are smart and well educated today, although during previous years you worked in extremely difficult conditions.  We congratulate you from the bottom of our hearts”.

Within distribution of humanitarian aid, Princess Katarina delivered blankets, food and toys to “Poletarac” kindergarten and medical material, blankets and shoes to the Heath Center.

In the Museum of Vojvodina in Novi Sad, Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Princess Katarina opened the exhibition of child works under the subject “Two thousand years of Christianity”.

Addressing those present, Crown Prince Aleksandar II said that the return to religion and tradition is not an aim in itself, but that such approach to education of children and youth is useful to the whole community.

“Novi Sad has always been the example of how different nations and religions fit together and how tolerance and cooperation present model of common life. We must continue this way, with the biggest power laying in young generations and their adequate education”, emphasized Crown Prince Aleksandar II.

After the opening of exhibition,  Their Royal Highnesses visited permanent exhibition of the Museum.
