ROYAL COUPLE AND PRINCE PHILIP VISITED BANJA LUKA FOR A CELEBRATION OF THE PATRON SAINT DAY OF REPUBLIKA SRPSKA AND DELIVERED HUMANITARIAN AID TO THE PAEDIATRICS DEPARTMENT OF THE CLINICAL CENTRE
Banja Luka, Belgrade 9 January 2010 - Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II, Crown Princess Katherine, Prince Philip and Mrs. Alison Andrews, daughter of Princess Katherine visited Banja Luka today, on the occasion of celebration St. Stefan, the Patron’s Saint Day of Republika Srpska. After the holy liturgy, they handed the Christmas gifts to the children at the Paediatrics Department of the Clinical Centre.
Upon their arrival to Banja Luka, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander, Crown Princess Katherine, Prince Philip and Mrs. Alison Andrews attended the Holy Liturgy served by His Grace Bishop of Banja Luka Jefrem attended by HE Prof. Dr. Rajko Kuzmanovic, President of Republika Srpska and Mr. Igor Radojcic, Speaker of the House of Republika Srpska,
Following the holy liturgy Their Royal Highnesses together with Dr. Amela Lolic, Deputy Minister of Health of Republika Srpska visited the Clinical Centre of Banja Luka where they donated Christmas packages to the children at the Paediatrics Department. Princess Katherine emphasized in her speech: “It is a great pleasure to have the opportunity to deliver this donation on your Patron Saint Day. It is our wish to help people regardless of ethnic or religious origin. The people in South Eastern Europe have suffered enough”. |
