REPRESENTATIVES OF THE “WHEELCHAIR FOUNDATION” IN BELGRADE OWING TO HRH CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE

Owing to HRH Crown Princess Katherine, representatives of the American non-governmental organization “Wheelchair foundation” that supplies wheelchairs to the people that cannot afford this type of medical equipment, arrived in Belgrade on Tuesday April 30^th .

Princess Katherine has been successfully cooperating with the “Wheelchair foundation” since it was founded in 2000, and this visit is the result of her efforts to provide handicapped people with necessary aid.

The president of the Foundation Mr. Kenneth Behring and his associates met with Serbian Minister of Social Affairs Mrs. Gordana Matković on Tuesday, in order to review the needs of handicapped people in our country and the ways of future cooperation.

They also visited Association for cerebral and children’s paralysis of Serbia and the Cerebral paralysis Club in Belgrade where they were informed on the work and the problems of these institutions. During the visit of the Club they delivered 3 wheelchairs to the members of the Club and learnt about their needs.

Mr. Kenneth Behring and his associates met representatives of non-governmental organization “Handicap international” yesterday and visited refugee camp in Krnjača and several  families to whom they distributed medical devises.

During today’s visit to Children’s Hospital in Tiršova Street, Mr. Behring delivered  medicines and medical material to this institution in the name of one American humanitarian organization.
