THE TENTH COORDINATIVE MEETING OF GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATIVES AND NGOs AT THE ROYAL PALACE Belgrade, 11 July 2002.- In organization of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, the tenth coordinative meeting of representatives of Federal and Republic Government, international NGOs, United Nation agencies and the Red Cross was held at the Royal Palace in Belgrade today. Guests speakers at the meeting were Republic Minister of Science and Technology Prof. dr. Dragan Domazet, Republic Minister of Heath Prof. Dr. Tomica Milosavljević, Adviser in the Republic Fund for health insurance Mr. Zoran Vesić, adviser of General manager of Clinical Centre of Serbia Mr. Ivan Jekić and United Nations Head of Office Mr. Jean Michel Delmotte. The new projects and activities of Republic Ministries and UN agencies and promotion of cooperation and coordination of activities of all participants have been discussed at the meeting. Ministers Domazet and Milosavljević presented current and future projects of their Ministries and explained the ways that NGO’s could help their work. Mr. Jean Michel Delmotte talked about details of 3,2 million dollars project for prevention of HIV and AIDS that was approved in Geneva and that was made in cooperation of the national AIDS committee and professors from “University of South California” from the USA, who visited our country trough mediation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine. Mr. Vesić and Mr. Jekić informed those present about activities and projects of their institutions. |
