Visit to Banja Koviljaca

Packages for the neediest

Belgrade , 7 May 2004 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine visited Banja Koviljaca today, where they delivered hygiene supplies, newborn babies' kits, school equipment and toys to the orphanage “Vera Blagojevic” and the refugee camp.

The donations were provided thanks to humanitarian organization “Later Day Saint” whose representatives were present during this visit, and thanks to many Serbian and Greek companies.

HRH Crown Princess Katherine addressed the children of the Home “Vera Blagojevic”, explaining that the presents Their Royal Highnesses brought to them were rallied thanks to the generous people from our country and abroad. “I wish to say you have a lot of friends who think about you and will never forget you”, said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

Their Royal Highnesses were the guests of the Mayor of Loznica, Mr. Slobodan Kaitovic, and Father Dragan Spasojevic, the proxy of His Grace Lavrentije, Bishop of Sabac and Valjevo.

The visit of The Royal Couple also included calling upon the local church and the rehabilitation center of Banja Koviljaca.
