After health institutions in Kraljevo, Valjevo, Kovin, Pozarevac and Novi Sad, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine delivered another Fiat 500L car, this time to the Health Center in Uzice, designated to transport patients in need of therapy. The funds for the car were provided through the Lifeline Canada Humanitarian Organization, whose patron is Crown Princess Katherine.
The Royal couple first visited Youth Service of the Centre for Development of Social Protection “Princess Ljubica” in Kragujevac and delivered a donation of clothes, shoes, toys and sweets provided by Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organization whose patron is HRH Crown Princess Katherine, and sweets for children provided by the Delhaize company to the director of this institution, Mrs Ljiljana Stankovic.
During the day, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine donated another Fiat 500L car, this time to the Health Center in Uzice.
The car was received from Their Royal Highnesses by Dr. Milos Bozovic, director of the Health Center Uzice and Dr. Jelena Rakovic Radovanovic, director of Uzice Hospital, who thanked the Crown Prince and Crown Princess for this extremely important donation.
Crown Princess Katherine in her speech thanked her associates and friends from the Lifeline Canada Humanitarian Organization, with whom she organized a successful fundraising dinner that raised funds for the purchase of six cars for health institutions in Serbia.
“My husband Crown Prince Aleksandar and I are very grateful to our friends from abroad who have been supporting our efforts to help our country and our people for more than two decades. The health of our people is of utmost importance because without people there is no country” – said Crown Princess Katherine.
Crown Prince Alexander is proud of his wife Crown Princess Katherine’s work and humanitarian organizations of which she is patron, since they all work very hard to provide help wherever help is needed. The Crown Prince also emphasized he was very happy that over the years the Crown has remained a symbol of gathering of our people in the Diaspora.
The Royal Couple has so far helped Uzice Health Center through a complete renovation and equipping of operating rooms for cardiac surgery, donation of ultrasound, incubators…
