Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine visited Valjevo today and delivered valuable donations to Primary school “Nada Puric” and Health Center Valjevo.
Mr Stanko Terzic, Mayor of Valjevo and Mrs Ana Savkovic, principal of Primary school “Nada Puric” welcomed the Royal Couple in front of the school.
They viewed a cultural and artistic program prepared by pupils, and after that they officially opened a sensory room worth 1,200,000 dinars, a donation of Crown Princess Katherine Foundation and Lifeline Humanitarian organization, whose patron is Her Royal Highness. The Crown Prince gave a set of books to the school on behalf of his Foundation for Education, and reminded children to be diligent and devoted to schooling, and to try to read as many books as possible, and when they grow up to use their knowledge for the benefit of our country and our people.
Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine visited also the Valjevo Health Centre and with the manager Dr Dobrivoje Grujicic talked about needs and projects of this health institution and saw first-hand how they could help improve working conditions and the level of services for the patients. The Crown Prince and Crown Princess visited the paediatric department and gave presents to children who have been treated there. Princess Katherine emphasized that she and her Foundation are working hard on their long-term mission to assist development of health institutions in Serbia and Republika Srpska through the education of doctors and provision of high end medical equipment. “The health of our people is the highest priority for me, because there is no country without people. Therefore, the majority of my efforts is aimed at health protection of people in Serbia and Republika Srpska, and I am very grateful to our friends help from Lifeline Humanitarian Organizations that I am а their patron”. Their Royal Highnesses announced that they will donate very soon a patient monitor for neurology department that will be provided with funds raised at the event in New York City and a vehicle for transportation of patients provided by funds raised at the event in Toronto, .organized by Lifeline Humanitarian organization that work under auspices of HRH Crown Princess Katherine.
His Grace Bishop Milutin of Valjevo has escorted Their Royal Highnesses during visit to Valjevo, and welcomed them at his residence.
Crown Princess Katherine has helped Heаlth Center in Valjevo before with donations of an ambulance and an incubator, among other equipment.
