CROWN PRINCESS AND LIFELINE CHICAGO CONTINUE RENOVATING BANJA LUKA CHILDREN’S HOME

Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago, whose patron is Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine, and HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation in Belgrade continued their support of The Rada Vranjesevic Home for Children in Banja Luka, the Republic of Srpska, as the second phase of renovations was successfully completed.

In this phase of the renovations, the ground floor of the Home was completely renovated and refurbished.  The funding of this phase was made possible by the generous donors and volunteers per Lifeline Chicago’s 4th Annual Golf Outing, which was held in Florida on the 2nd of April, 2022, and organized by dedicated Lifeline supporter, Rade Savich.

This vast undertaking included the painting of the entire floor and the following purchases of all new furniture and accessories: 8 wardrobes/closets, 20 nightstands, 20 beds complete with mattresses and bedding sets, 30 dining room chairs and 3 dining tables, living room furniture including a television and television stand, bookcases, a sectional sofa, coffee tables and end tables, carpeting, curtains, 10 small armchairs, various stools, and 2 toy boxes.

“I am very grateful to all wonderful donors of Lifeline Chicago for their generosity, as well as to all members of the Lifeline Chicago Board for their commitment and determination to provide aid to our people. This is such a big contribution to a better and nicer childhood for these lovely children.

Our donors have once again shown their readiness to unconditionally provide help and the love they have in their hearts. When we give to the children, we are also making sure that the future of our country is brighter and more secure. Knowing that we have brought joy in their hearts gives me the strength to do even more for our people and children in Serbia and the Republic of Srpska”, said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

“We want to express our gratitude to the long-time friends of our great Home – HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation, and the Lifeline Humanitarian Organization of Chicago and their donors from the 4th humanitarian Golf Outing Event for the realized second phase of the project – renovating and equipping the complete ground floor of our Home – educational group – in our Home. The realization of this project significantly improved the standard of living of our youngest users. The little ones were very happy with the new space for their stay and play, and the joy and smiles on their faces are priceless to us.

We are very happy that you think of them and we are grateful to you for helping us to provide everything they need for normal growth and development. We also want to emphasize that without your support, this project would not be finished. Thank you, dear friends”, said Ms. Darijana Kecman, director of the “Rada Vranješević” Home, on this occasion.
