HER ROYAL HIGHNESS CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE AT JUBILEE OF THE UNION OF THE BLIND OF SERBIA

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine was a guest at the ceremony marking the 70th Anniversary of the Union of the Blind of Serbia at the Sava Centre.

At this important jubilee there were also present representatives of regional and European blind unions and associations, as well as Aleksandar Vulin, Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs.

“It is very important that all people with specific needs and interests have organizations that represent them and help them have active life and equal chances. I am glad that the Union of the Blind of Serbia is just one such organization. For over seventy years the Union has been putting great efforts into education, vocational training, rehabilitation and employment of blind and visually impaired, as well as into their social and health care.

That is a highly noble goal, and my humanitarian foundation, my family and I will do everything in our power to help you in every way to achieve it. I congratulate you for this great jubilee and I hope that you will continue your extraordinary work for decades to come”, said Princess Katherine in her speech.

Attendees also had the opportunity to enjoy a piano performance by young Iskra Milenkovic, singing by Ivana Žigon, as well as a music performance by the duet Sanja Ćaldovic and Rajan Bolozan.
