Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine, together with Mrs Betty Roumeliotis, sister of Princess Katherine, visited today Novi Sad and delivered a Fiat 500L for transporting patients in need of therapy to the Health Center Novi Sad. The funds for the car have been provided through the Lifeline Canada Humanitarian Organization, whose patron is Crown Princess Katherine.
The Crown Prince and Crown Princess first visited the Health Center in Novi Sad on Wednesday at 10:00 am, and officially handed the Fiat 500L keys to Dr. Veselin Bojat, the director of this institution. Dr Bojat thanked Their Royal Highnesses for this valuable donation, which will be of great benefit to patients and staff of the Health Center in Novi Sad.
Crown Prince Alexander said he was very proud of the work his wife Crown Princess Katherine and her Humanitarian Foundation and their continuous work to improve the quality of health institutions in Serbia.
Crown Princess Katherine thanked her colleagues from the Lifeline Canada Humanitarian Organization, thanks to which the funds were provided for the purchase of the car delivered. She noted that, with the help of these organizations whose patron she was, last month Fiat 500 L cars were donated to Health Centre in Kraljevo, Valjevo General Hospital, the Health Center in Kovin, as well as the Hospital in Pozarevac.
Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine visited the department of pediatrics at the Health Centre Novi Sad and delivered gifts to the children who were patients there. Director of Health Center Dr Bojat briefed Their Royal Highnesses on the continuing needs of this health institution, and the Royal Couple has confirmed that together with their friends from abroad will continue to provide assistance.
During the day, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine visited the Women’s Shelter handing the manager of this institution, Ms. Nada Padeski clothes, shoes and toys that were provided thanks to Lifeline Humanitarian Organization Chicago, while the sweets were provided by the Delhaize company.
The Crown Princess has announced that she is going to continuously work on solving the problem of unemployment among women staying in the Women’s Shelter because in her opinion that is the foundation on which women can build their secure future.
