Traditional Easter receptions for children at the White Palace

Their Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine and Mrs Betty Roumeliotis, sister of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, hosted today traditional Easter receptions for over 1000 children without parental care, Roma children and children with disabilities. His Grace Vicar Bishop of Toplica Arsenije also attended the reception and greeted the children introducing them to the meaning and importance of Easter.

Children’s choir “Carolija” and choir of Children’s cultural center Belgrade sang traditional Easter songs. Following the reception children enjoyed an Easter egg hunt in The White Palace Park.

The Humanitarian Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine organized the traditional Easter receptions thanks to the support of Lifeline Chicago Humanitarian Organization, and socially responsible companies and individuals: Mattel USA, Coca Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, EKO Serbia AD, Vojvodjanska Bank, Bakery 30, Baloon Centre, Hotel Excelsior Belgrade, Ishrana product Paracin, Embassy of Angola, Embassy of Australia, Embassy of Iran, Embassy of Korea, Embassy of Palestine, Mrs Maja Le Roux, children from International schools in Belgrade.

Her Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Katherine will visit tomorrow, Wednesday, 8 April 2015 at 10:15 am the Children’s University Hospital in Tirsova Street and Princess Katherine will deliver a patient monitor to this institution. After that Princess Katherine will visit children in the wards of the University Children’s Hospital in Tirsova Street and will deliver Easter gifts and toys. Within Princess Katherine’s traditional Easter visits to children’s hospitals in Belgrade she also visit tomorrow at 11:15 am the Institute for Mother and Child in Belgrade and deliver Easter gifts and toys to children who are being treated at this institution, and thus embellish the upcoming Easter holidays for them.
